A short drive east along the Gwydir Highway will bring you to the infamous Cranky Rock. This is the perfect spot for some keen adventurers to explore. From climbing, swimming, yabbying and more, the kids will be entertained for hours. Cranky Rock has an abundance of wildlife and is the perfect spot for a picnic by the water and skim a rock or two.

Getting in touch with nature along the banks of the fully sealed Reedy Creek. Perfect for a bike ride, walk or jog, with access for all. Grab a picnic basket and head to the picnic huts. A perfect place to stop, unwind and refresh your body and mind.

Pepper Box Gallery, located in the heart of the CBD, has several artists from all over Australia. From oil paintings to acrylic, you won’t be disappointed that you stopped.

Warialda Ceramic Break Sculpture Park is a short drive south, with something for everyone. Prehistoric creatures and quirky statues are littered along the acreage for your viewing pleasure.

The Warialda Golf and Bowling Club features a scenic 9-hole golf course for keen golfers. Located on the edge of town, the course offers a relaxed and enjoyable playing experience and is well worth a visit. Visitors are welcome to pay and play, with golf carts available for hire or the option to enjoy a walk around the course.

Warialda’s rich history began in 1827 when explorer/ botanist Allan Cunningham discovered and mapped the area. The township was to be established as the oldest government town in the north west when Captain Robert Mayne was appointed as magistrate in June 1839.

The premises can be found at 35 Plunkett Street Warialda and is open each Saturday morning 10 am to 12 pm or by appointment.
